Body Gestures
Map your own body
FACIAL AND BODY GESTURES AND WHAT EMOTIONS THEY CAN GIVE OFF TO ANOTHER PERSON
(Things I take into consideration when teaching)
If you take one of the power poses and hold that pose for 5 minutes, you're supposed to feel more confident. We also tried this in class.
Facial expressions are a very clear way of showing how you feel or if you are interested in what someone is saying.
What vibe do I want to have when I am talking to someone?
How does someone know I am listening to them?
Facial expressions,
Your face is where your mouth is so people look at it when you are talking. The emotions you display on your face can also affect the people you are talking to.
Hand gestures,
I try to not use to much gestures as they can be distracting when teaching.
General posture,
When teaching your posture is one of the most important things to think of because the way you stand in front of your class influences the participation of students.
Choices of clothing,
The clothing you wear and the colors of them also set the mood when you talk to someone. Bright colors often catch attention and create a more energetic mood opposed to grey and black clothing pieces who set a more relaxed mood.
The way someone is behaving, body and facial gestures, can tell how they feel. This chart shows this really well.
